I bought all of them at the same time when I saw the drop and sold them almost at the same time because it was in the evening and time to take profit and be proud of it.

I remind you that I am no expert in trading crypto currencies, but just learning and sharing the results with you here.

USDT/REP Trade

This is the chart for Augur.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmWsWxy46osDuQ7mbNG58NFgXC5vEFGQViPZjCeBNV5Xf8/USDT%3AREP.png

Small profit, and I missed a bit, thinking it was going to go down again.

USDT/ETH Trade

This is the chart for Ethereum where I made 2 trades. The moving averages still continued to go up as well with no sign of turning down.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmWXTdb3UjZcq4cc1vwWHj9ZA5J6top13q6R79XWNoGfav/USDT%3AETH-3.png

As you can see that's a $15 jump up and this trade would have been a winner.

USDT/LTC Trade Prediction

Litecoin did also very well until the last candle where massive sells took place. It didn't stay within the trend lines, but still followed the trend up. The moving averages started to lose their strengh up and started to turn down.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade when a candle touched that line.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmUZ4SWGsqHtLEtbMC9ng8gwWndzHpXtvSs2GgP5cYCLed/USDT%3ALTC-3.png

Yesterday I thought this would have been a losing trade after 4 hours, but it recovered afterwards and selling at its pick before the fall would have made $2 per coin.

24 hours later, it's still a winning trade.

USDT/STR Trade Prediction

Stellar Lumens continued to go up, not as fast as the trend lines would have suggested, and it did a nice pick. The moving averages continued up slowly and then turned down slowly.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmV3GtBhVHDdtQmkfkdadKR3UCj2kLyi7jKZXjiwKBphps/USDT%3ASTR-3.png

24 hours later, it's still a winning trade, but it would have been wise to sell at it's pick, which would have been a nice jump up.

USDT/XMR Trade Prediction

Monero also went nicely following the trend lines and touching their point of convergence, which would have been a good time to sell. The moving averages continued up nicely before losing power and starting to turn down.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmNri92tNDBkVppcxbA3ADNTpFVn9RjWfswXUg6dKxWBPn/USDT%3AXMR-3.png

24 hours, it is a winning trade, but selling at the higher high would have been ideal with a $10 gain per coin.

USDT/XRP Trade Prediction

Yesterday, Ripple started a nice trend up staying within the trend lines and it did so for several hours until the point of convergence where it started to decline. The moving averages stayed very parallel for a long time as well.
I would have entered the trade where the blue arrow is.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmfDZutxvtVc3kKpQKhZDmPnTqzPBhnkQL1tqKYQzscLE3/USDT%3AXRP-3.png

24 hours later, it's still a winning trade.

USDT/ZEC Trade Prediction

Zcash managed to go back slowly within the trend lines and the moving averages continued to go up and stay parallel nicely.

I would not have entered the trade because I thought it had an equal chance to move downward, but if I would have entered it, the blue arrow would have been the point of entry.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmZaXVYEV5qUoMVXjhrKA8BZfd9GHdLz4VCT8PnwWMYYiY/USDT%3AZEC-3.png
24 hours later the trade is a winner and selling at its pick, just on the upper trend line, would have gained $13.

Conclusion

Now that we are 24 hours later I can see clearly that trend lines used together with moving averages can give a very good indication of where the trade is going.

During the first few hours, it is a good idea to monitor closely to see if it's really going up as expected and use the trading rule #1, if the market does not prove me correct, which is exiting the trade.

Then, it seems that at around 18 hours is where there can be a breakup and the best time to sell before the trend turns down.

I hope this is helpful for you.

I use Coinigy to look at charts and place trades, if you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to make more posts about cryptocurrency trading like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-21T05:30:57 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/24-hours-later-7-winning-crypto-trades /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/24-hours-later-7-winning-crypto-trades Is using trend lines a good way to predict where the market is going to go?
We are Monday and what I decided to do today is a few day-trading predictions based on using trend lines on the charts. Is using trend lines a good way to predict where the market is going to go? Does that guarantee a winning trade?

I have now Tether (USDT) and I'm using 7 pairs for this exercise that are available on Poloniex.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmUk9x9ND7aA54KRYS5GmkZAYzt9aX7GiyWArSnrxb87p4/trendlines.jpg

Is using trend lines a good way to predict where the market is going to go?

The altcoins I am going to look at today are Augur, Ethereum, Litecoin, Stellar Lumens, Monero, Ripple and Zcash because they can be traded with Tether.

I am a student of the cryptocurrency trading course and no expert yet! This way you will see if you would have had a winning or losing trade.

USDT/REP Trade Prediction

This is the chart I had for Augur and as you can see, not a lot of action. I could not draw a trend line on this section of the chart so I drew a base, which can say that it has a 50% chance to go up and a 50% chance to go down. The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade and started to monitor to see where it went.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmZnhRsRYcmpJibCx3ZT1vH6YHx86hpscqzx64Q1cCttVK/USDT%3AREP.png

So what do you think, up or down?

30 minutes later there was a very slim indication that it was trending up...

and it went up during the next four hours.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmZcqieUd7y1DNkxfUVdWVkWetHHYJ5iVvWpFUcGYWVgH4/USDT%3AREP-2.png

This trade would have been profitable providing that I monitor the chart for a minimum of 2 hours.

USDT/ETH Trade Prediction

This is now Ethereum, with a beautiful trend up. When you look at that you can only think of it going further up between these two lines. Is it going to be the case?

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade with a 30 minutes monitoring it.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmZG6szKAySMrQfRoFwsrCw8T4EWrmWaSWWBmQmAMCcvfW/USDT%3AETH.png

So what did you say? Up or down?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQrjEsvxHUHsJFc6GC5iQhQ2tqYKSri4jbSAnisF4nLXz/USDT%3AETH-2.png

I believe you didn't expect that!

30 minutes later it was down and then bounced back up and continued to go up. After four hours this would have been a winning trade with a difficult choice to either exit or stay in the trade at the beginning.

In that case, the beautiful trending line didn't do that much good.

USDT/LTC Trade Prediction

This is now Litecoin, with another beautiful trend up.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade when a candle touched that line, so it can repeat the same bounce as the previous two. The moving averages were indicating the start of a down trend.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmVCeQgHVnE4fSSLevii51Za4kugnuUCeSb9PwcZxnQDYg/USDT%3ALTC.png

Let's see if a candle touched that line and where it went.

Any idea?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmTBEKYGi6BnKpRW4MRAmbFU1vYLYTXs81A8w93PeNgoVp/USDT%3ALTC-2.png

It went down and the moving averages were right on this one. The trend lines worked well at the beginning as long as the moving averages were parallel, but all good things have an end.

The candle touched that line so I would have entered the trade and then it would have been a losing trade.

USDT/STR Trade Prediction

For some reason, the symbol for Stellar Lumens is STR on Poloniex and XLM on the other exchanges, which is confusing.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmUVF8LuUbPiKEzAdAdmdsZ1Mb9U95cuABStq2oXdYyC6X/stellar-lumens.png

This being said, we have 2 trend lines that seem to converge in one point. Is that going to go up until this point and then go down? The moving averages don't say so.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmb3kGenr634AjZ7nE8Vg8k6NNaeQpBxgHZat1DTZrhWLj/USDT%3ASTR.png

Up or down?

It didn't really go to that point of convergence, but still went up at a slower pace.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmebrFeCbhZLTaP5X6qjHiLavs1e5dRjWL4etw1mAAK3Uc/USDT%3ASTR-2.png

The moving averages were right to indicate a trend up, but not as high as the trend lines would have suggested.

This still would have been a winning trade.

USDT/XMR Trade Prediction

This is another interesting trend up for Monero. Seeing that, I can only think that it's going to go up, but the moving averages indicate that it might not go as high and may go down shortly.

The blue arrow is where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmS56Cc46DLUiZdRuheZEFWzt4WW2vY2UdXa8BAtCZZUzk/USDT%3AXMR.png
Going up or down?

It did go up, but not really within the two trend lines.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmSbiZ5rWWAX5RdyNPUWHFBQjNGFiAuzXdrTeDHy6fPLJR/USDT%3AXMR-2.png

The moving averages were right again indicating a slower trend up, but it seems like it's going to go down soon.

This trade would have been a winning one.

USDT/XRP Trade Prediction

This is a slow, but steady trend up for Ripple that the two trend lines seem to indicate.
Here I thought that the candle would have to touch the trend line for me to enter the trade, where the blue arrow is. The moving averages look good.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmRaZb276db5Ct9jPbZRrP6FHVco1ZEjU4ZnDTtAdGFaxu/USDT%3AXRP.png
And this is exactly what happened!

The candle touched the line and it's where I would have entered the trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmaLBQ6B9FWmWTqZ7EnfQGVSmSU3K6rb1gYHpzKXqQUZWo/USDT%3AXRP-2.png

It's going up and up slowly and this would have been a winning trade. There is no sign that it's going to go down as yet.

USDT/ZEC Trade Prediction

This does not tell me that the trend is going up for Zcash. The two trend lines suggest it could go up, but I could also have drawn a trend down. I don't think I would have entered the trade because the moving averages indicate it's going down. Are you going to place your $100 trade assuming you are correct, and then wait that the market proves you correct or wrong?

If you enter with your $100 trade and you are correct, all is good, but if you are wrong, this will be painful.

So what the rule says is that don't assume that you are correct and place a smaller amount first, like $25 on the trade and wait to see if the market proves you correct.

If the market proves you wrong, then exit the trade immediately and take your losses. You will have lost just a little on your trade. It is tempting to say, "I'm right, and it's going to go up later," and stay in the trade, but if it doesn't then you can lose big. It's better to re-enter the trade later than to gamble hoping it's going to go up.

This is your risk management rule and this will protect you from losing your whole account, and allow you to continue trading for years to come.

Rule #2

Add to your winners without exception.

When the market proves you correct, then you can add to your trade progressively. You may add another $25, and if the market still proves you correct, add the remaining $50. You may even add more to it as the market already proved you correct.

If you already have entered the trade with all the money you have, you have nothing to add to it, and then you took a bigger risk than it was necessary.

Rule #1 and rule #2 work together.

Rule #1 protects your account in reducing the risk of a big loss and rule #2 allows you to earn more on your trade.

I hope this is helpful for you.

You might be interested to read my previous crypto posts on Steemit:

My Easiest and Successful Crypto Trade Ever!

How I Messed Up 3 Crypto Trades Before Going to Bed

Three Successful Crypto Trades, But a Recurring Issue!

Four Crypto Trades Today: 3 Successful / 1 Fail

20 More Altcoins to Consider for Investing Long Term

10 Altcoins to Consider for Investing Long Term

Four Crypto Trades with Coinigy

My First Successful Crypto Trade!

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to make more posts about cryptocurrency trading like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-19T10:22:27 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/two-rules-to-become-a-successful-crypto-trader /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/two-rules-to-become-a-successful-crypto-trader Saturday Breakfast Before French Lesson!
After my 2 kilometers walk and 40 minutes of exercise this morning, my wife, daughter and I left the house to go to the Alliance Francaise in Bangkok. Today I have very little merit with this trade because what I did is just sell my Bitcoin, which was having a huge pick, in Tether or USDT.

I use Coinigy to look at charts and place trades, if you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

BTC/USDT Trade

As I saw that Bitcoin was going crazy high, I thought, "Why not just sell my Bitcoin for Tether and get an instant profit?"

I just placed my trade with Tether (USDT) and waited about 5 minutes for it to execute.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmPudpFJ3LgixurmzscHQoQwCjxhYUqjQiXXHHaTEow26S/USDT%3ABTC.png

I was able to get 162 USDT for my Bitcoin, which is $162 as it is equivalent to the US dollar.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmRmTPRpeggur9a13ZeDaCjWrvPa28ptkKLH1C6ietw4AH/USDT%3ABTC%20executed.png

This trade was successful because yesterday the value in my Poloniex account was $145 all in Bitcoin and by just selling them, the value raised to $162.

That's a $17 profit and what I'm going to do now is trade pairs with USDT, specifically Ethereum to try to grow the account.

When Bitcoin takes a dive again, then I will be selling my Tether for Bitcoin.

I hope this post is useful for you to
How I Messed Up 3 Crypto Trades Before Going to Bed

This post is again part of my own journey in learning trading cryptocurrencies and I hope it will be as useful for you as it is for me.

If you are a beginner I believe that you will find this 3 failed trade reports useful so you can avoid doing the same mistakes, and if you are experimented please let us know what I could have done better.

I use Coinigy to look at charts and place trades, if you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

I continued my trades on Ethereum, Litcoin and OmiseGO in the evening at 8:00 p.m. as I saw an opportunity in each of them

BTC/OMG Trade

I made a new trade with OmiseGO (OMG) as the chart showed that it was at a bottom again and in my analysis it was not going to go down further the line I drew. When I bought, the trend was up and I though it was confirming what I was thinking.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmeM1gqCKiwWNuFToBBXRZ5nPWS6FPQs8Fh9MBaXZ7ASMD/BTC%3AOMGb.png

Then, a while later it started to dive and I expected it to go back up again. It was about 45 minutes later and time for getting some rest with my wife watching Netflix for an hour and then go to bed.

To protect my trade I put a stop loss much below I bought so it could rebound without triggering the sell and I would still get a small loss.

My OmiseGO were sold while I was watching TV and as you can see it didn't recover some 10 hours later.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQP4ZTgT8SDf1hpx75uTx7LaoeodZRMA9XgdsfEoicEJL/BTC%3AOMG.png

Oh My God!

Never again I will trade before going to bed!

BTC/LTC Trade

I bought Litecoin (LTC) when it was going up and my order processed late so I entered the trade at the worst possible time. I was thinking it was going to replicate this nice "M" at the left and I drew a line for the bottom, which I thought was the maximum it could go down.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmVcikS5jrawJ2thz3YXcXpRrDUZRB1R5TpKPYku1dGHWQ/BTC%3ALTCb.png

Well, I was wrong. It did go down and it didn't recover 10 hours later. In this trade also, I put a stop loss in the same manner as I did for Ethereum and it triggered when I was watching TV.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmZZSGBrDJRVfzXojxCw2iFCPyhX7fZHUodvddzAudka8w/BTC%3ALTC.png

I entered this trade because I saw an increase in trading volume at this time of the day and thought this was really going to push things up.

I was wrong!

BTC/ETH Trade

I messed up with the Ethereum (ETH) trade as I did not analyze the chart properly. I drew a first bottom line, then a second, believing this was not going to go down further according to what happened several hours ago.

I entered the trade when it was going up, which I though confirmed my analysis.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmRfPbgJNPVq8etRmWzXE6R9CpYCYE96xxm6PH5TUn1dax/BTC%3AETHb.png

It started then to go down. The trading volume was nice and I though it was going to rebound up again.

I placed my stop loss in the same manner as the other 2 trades and went to watch my TV show.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmdHJSpiCpcgzRDzUZeKBZiZPEoryy1jzy6rdHe9DaTS7T/BTC%3AETH.png

The sell was triggered and it went lower than I thought it was. After 10 hours, it still hasn't recovered.

Hopefully, I traded very small amounts and even losing some Satoshis, the increase of Bitcoin in value showed an additional $5 for the day.

The lesson of this is that you have to choose between watching your favorite show on TV or trading, not do both. Being at the end of the day and tired might have also played a role in failing these trades.

I hope this post is useful for you to see that day trading is not evening trading!

I am a student of the cryptocurrency trading course and if you are interested to join, use coupon code "michelsentme" at check out, I will get a small commission and you will get a 20% discount.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to make more posts about my crypto trades like this one?

PS: If you find what TV show I was watching on TV yesterday, I'll send you 3 SBD.

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-16T03:03:51 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/how-i-messed-up-3-crypto-trades-before-going-to-bed /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/how-i-messed-up-3-crypto-trades-before-going-to-bed Three Successful Crypto Trades, But a Recurring Issue!
Today I'd like to share with your 3 crypto trades I made that were successful, but I did not profit as much as I could have because of what you will see below.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQDMLEj8aFDTUayxa1t1SUUaiq3tbRDoReGhu14FKLpHf/trade-3issues.jpeg

Three Successful Crypto Trades, But a Recurring Issue!

I am a beginner day trader and these trading posts I write are for my own trading journal that I share with you. If you are a beginner like me, I hope this helps, and if you are experimented I welcome your feedback.

I use Coinigy to look at charts and place trades, if you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

BTC/OMG Trade

The first trade I made was for OmiseGO (OMG). The chart showed that it was at bottom and in the process of going up so I bought 25% of it. After an hour going up it started going down.

So I thought, "No panic, don't exit right now, I'm going to monitor it closely."

One hour later it was going nowhere and as I was going outside, instead of setting a stop loss below my entry, at a loss, I just decided to sell.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQDsWcnP3eZosc3budeG8EwZT5UjcKm1QvoxwbZkc4hYc/BTC%3AOMG.jpg

This trade was successful in the sense that I didn't lose anything as I sold at the same price I bought, and was free to go outside without worrying about it.

Look at what happened soon after! A huge pick and if I had stayed at the computer I could have made a nice profit.

Oh My God!

BTC/LTC Trade

I entered that Litecoin (LTC) trade when it was at bottom and it slowly went up. Then it was time to go to school to pick up my daughter and as it was going down and I couldn't monitor or put a stop loss without losing more profit, I just exited.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQ1EfaSX9ALgyrZGUFwvzNkFE4FZS8Spbkb1ZPRYU7qpm/BTC%3ALTC.jpg

See what happened just after! The same thing as for OMG, a huge pick where I could have had a much better profit.

BTC/ETH Trade

I entered a bit late on this Ethereum (ETH) trade as it was starting to go up again. After two hours and a half, it started to decline and it's when I sold. That was a good move as it continued to go down and down.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQxvotrKZfPBMH5WKnakTGMbNjeh9dySugs8VfsXteXJf/BTC%3AETH.jpg

After these 3 trades and the ones I made before, there is a common issue, which is that when a trade is starting to be problematic and needs my attention, then I have to go outside for the other commitments that I have. The only choice I have is to place a stop loss minimizing my loss and profit, or just exit the trade.

I hope this post is useful for you to see what issues I face in my day trading and maybe use it for your own benefit.

I am a student of the cryptocurrency trading course and if you are interested to join, use coupon code "michelsentme" at check out, I will get a small commission and you will get a 20% discount.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to make more posts about my crypto trades like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-15T12:34:03 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/three-successful-crypto-trades-but-a-recurring-issue /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/three-successful-crypto-trades-but-a-recurring-issue Four Crypto Trades Today: 3 Successful / 1 Fail
Would you be interested to see the four crypto trades I made today because this might help you get the confidence to get started like myself?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmcTEcWWzoXdLowixsXESS9xhZdxB4bPtbkTDDexvVkFVB/4trades-today.jpeg

Four Crypto Trades Today: 3 Successful / 1 Fail

The first thing I did this morning is to browse the different pairs to see which ones would have a good potential for me to trade today. To be honest, I was prepared to see it dive, but it went the other way hopefuly.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmVMu3BPADaJu76GZnbSS2cL6n92js2HqhkDv5L5xjmGPK/BTC%3AGNT.png

BTC/ETH Trades

Ethereum is one of the cryptocurrency that I will trade every day because there is a lot of volume and movements up and down, so it's easier to predict how it might go.

I made 3 trades with ETH today, two were successful and the last one failed.

The first one was very short. I placed the buy feeling it was going up, which it did, and as I saw it was trending down I sold.

The second trade was much longer as I entered again when it hit bottom. It didn't go as high as expected and as it was going down and the reversal didn't happen, then I sold at a small profit again.

I completly messed up the third trade. I wanted to enter as it was raising again, but the order was not filled, so I cancelled it and put a new one. This new one didn't go through immediately, but did when I tried to cancell the order. Unfortnatelly it was filled when at the top. As it was going down again, I decided to just sell at a very small loss.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQjfcSSCQtTiYjrC79qfe7LDtUP4L7q1jbZMkLUNwB9ke/BTC%3AETH.png

Today, I've experienced some delay with Coinigy, thinking the buy or sell didn't go off when it did, and then believing that it did when it didn't...

I hope this post is useful for you to see what a investing long term. In my previous post I showed you my top 10, which were Synereo, Ardor, Clams, GameCredits, Gas, Lisk, NAV Coin, OmiseGO, Stratis and Syscoin.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmaGAoBvFcNzo7qWiRYxRhNN4hit7DawTo4tT7Ur9DvLy7/20morecoins.jpeg

My choice is based on the reaction of the market immediately after the Bitcoin fork was cancelled, the top 10 getting an immediate response with people selling their Bitcoin to buy the altcoins.

20 More Altcoins to Consider for Investing Long Term

These 20 altcoins also did pretty well as people rallied to buy them, but after some hesitation were it took a dive first before going up again, or they have less volume than the top 10.

I have collected these screenshots so you and me can refer to them Consider for Investing Long Term
Would you like to learn what are the 10 altcoins to consider for investing long term because in this blog post I base my choice on what I recently saw in the cryptocurrency charts?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmTE8qDDVLF72y6pt8qLuYKbQueY7BfuThvUPtrFz1EH8A/10-altcoins-th.jpg

Mid November a Bitcoin fork was planned and in preparation of this to happen, cryptocurrency investors and traders sold their altcoins prior to this in order to have as much Bitcoin as possible. This means that for one of the actual Bitcoin you hold you would have had the equivalent in the new forked Bitcoin.

These people moving their cryptocurrency assets to Bitcoin have their favorite coins and after the fork they would have bought back in them without hesitation.

The fork did not happen and as it was announced on 9 November at 18:00 according to the charts in Coinigy, a surge occurred in a lot of the markets at this exact moment.

This list of 10 altcoins is for the ones that had an immediate surge in value as buyers bought them without hesitation and with passion. What the movement in these charts tells us is that these altcoins are coins that people believe in and want to invest in. These altcoins have a good chance to go 10 times in value as people have a big interest in holding them, compared to other coins.

If you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

10 Altcoins to Consider for Investing Long Term

I do not know the specifics of each of these coins and base my choice on what the charts are showing at the moment the Bitcoin fork was cancelled. The next step would be for each of us to study them and learn actually what they do, so we can make an informed decision to whether invest in them or not.

Synereo (AMP)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmczJX6F2dkYou71CmVJhkqrNAURw19nUQRhiXQMevTdb4/-BTC%3AAMP.png

Ardor (ARDR)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmZ9vQ4EiNXxjx3Pu6CsSwwUJyhbcZuzsrAgYADgrH1EL2/-BTC%3AARDR.png

Clams (CLAM)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmTBpQBjVMzypfpdYd1t4irVkHfW1FcRw1rkL9MRSMqo6i/-BTC%3ACLAM.png

GameCredits (GAME)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmch9xvCdM738r82tHYMbKRWXkERhpjHqURvD5NwkqLLcy/-BTC%3AGAME.png

Gas (GAS)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmSZsEiaz5DpAbcRkVGN2GqKxgLftTCXxvSUT77gWT2k6D/-BTC%3AGAS.png

Lisk (LSK)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmStHQUd21pgaC8epeJWq2U71QYi3KhMUafoTFnGYvHRtG/-BTC%3ALSK.png

NAV Coin (NAV)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmb9LJECd472MjL9nx9p6YDhF7H74L9jU9xq3Niq1Jbjcr/-BTC%3ANAV.png

OmiseGO (OMG)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmYiASbL9T3xQg2MDJA7h29kepeaH5fVr3nnRvVcmVRdnw/-BTC%3AOMG.png

Sratis (STRAT)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmRj7TewNM4JGnfrqgTCDGYiYqRP4PWvzku163t19jn3Gq/-BTC%3ASTRAT.png

Syscoin (SYS)
https://steemitimages.com/DQmXZCH1bbsibw2bFoMR51zPufUUYw7P8rwQQWDYkze3T1m/-BTC%3ASYS.png

I hope this post is helpful for you to see which coins would be a good fit for you to invest in. If you are new to working from home, I have a few tips for you.

Home Office

If you have a home office that is well arranged and well designed you will be able to concentrate more, work faster and get more done in the day.

Your home office should be separated from the rest of your house. Working on the kitchen table is not a good setting for success. If you do not have a room for the office, use curtains or office partitions to separate your work space area from the rest of the house.

All the tools you need, computer, printer, cables, calculator and so on should all be in your work area so you don't have to step out of it.

Choose office furniture that is convenient and can fit in the small area you have. Adding real plants can help you concentrate on your work and get you in a good mood.

Natural lighting together with additional lamps is also important to have a nice work environment.

The most important piece of furniture in your home office is your chair. You are going to sit several hours and a good office chair will prevent you from having back pain and other problems related to computer use.

Dress Code

People think that the advantage of working from home is that you can work in your pajamas or in your underwear.

It's clearly not. If you are dressed in sport wear you are in the mood for a run, if you are in your pajamas you are in the mood for a nap.

In order to be in the mood for work you should be dressed as if you were going to an office building. The necktie might not be necessary, but office trousers and a nice shirt can help you greatly to concentrate on your work and be in the mood.

Some people can work at home in casual clothes and it is fine too, but if you have to meet a client outside, shoot a video or talk to a client on Skype, a nice shirt can make all the difference.

Time Management

This is very difficult to work efficiently if you don\'t manage your time when working from home. You may have to drive your kids to and from school, cook your lunch or do house work during the day.

All these activities have to be managed to go along the hours of work you have to do. A daily schedule is a good idea. Start and finish work at the same time everyday as you would do in a real office with colleagues.

The advantage to work from home is that you can arrange your schedule as you wish. You may work an hour before the kids get up in the morning then start another period after they are in school and before your lunch. Work can also be done after the kids are in bed in the evening if you choose so.

The last thing you do in the day can be planning your work for the next day. This way, you know when you get up what you have to do and be effective immediately.

When you have you hours set-up, plan what to do in each time period of the day. Shoot a video at that time, check emails at that time, do admin tasks at this other time of the day. Having the discipline to do that will increase your chances of success.

I hope this post will be helpful to you and that freelancing from home will be a lot easier.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to make more posts like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-09T13:02:21 http://steemit.com/life/@gmichelbkk/freelancing-from-home-tips /life/@gmichelbkk/freelancing-from-home-tips Four Crypto Trades with Coinigy
This is my second day trading with Coinigy and I made 4 trades based on my interpretation of the charts. Two trades were unsuccessful and two trades were successful, leaving me with a loss of about $1.25 today.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmaQMjK7D7bNSbMJkL2hdPTHDhiELuyJWnC3NzNSvEf85f/THUMB-tutorial-trading.jpg

Four Crypto Trades with Coinigy

I am no expert, this is my trading journal where I show what I have learned day trading crypto. I play very small as I am learning and I hope this post can be useful for you. If you would like to try Coinigy please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

My first trade today: BTC/CVC

As I thought CVC was going to go up, I first placed a buy at 25%, and then nothing happened. The green candle was getting bigger and I thought that my buy order was now too below the last buy price, so I made a new buy order. It was processed successfully and when I cancelled the first order, a part of it had been already processed without my knowledge. That's why there are 2 buys when I intended to make only one.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmb6yNt3kZtZ3orPghe3WPyG51wmdCz89wvvZUQMSbJpUV/BTC%3ACVC.png

Then, shortly after, it started to go down and I decided to take the loss immediately, not in panic, but because if I am not proven correct, then it's better to exit before losing too much or hope for a reversal. As you can see it did go up a bit later, and then down, basically going nowhere.

These are the buy and sell orders.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmXE2v2BNP9bthFMfb6KkesysnEmzRWuAVy8CoyZxdomrU/BTC%3ACVC-trans.jpg

I wonder if the delay in executing the first order was due to a low Internet connection or Coinigy having to much of a delay between the execution of the sell on the exchange and reporting it.

My second trade today: BTC/LSK

Looking at the chart LSK had a good chance to go up and it did. From where you see the blue arrow, I thought it was going to go up, so I waited to place the first order at 25%. Then, it did the same thing, it continued to go up and nothing happened, so I placed a second order because I didn't want to miss the boat. It was executed, and when I tried to cancel the first order, it said it couldn't be cancelled and it did buy a ridiculously small amount of LSK.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmcQXWJwzP9YpcG5VTrmg6GyVJvx9pbXwGZeBk9VgAaizv/BTC%3ALSK-stop.png

The third buy was 10% and it was executed normally.

I was expecting it to go higher, but I had to go outside and decided to put a stop loss, so I would still be in profit in case it went down.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmRUqzQp94G4rQGcReZxozGjysEAZR3WYfP9aEow5i5i7R/BTC%3ALSK-buys.jpg

The first order with the small amount is the unwanted one.

Then, while I was outside, the stop sell order triggered.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQ7mehUvu9XFwT41zhSpxQZ9b9SC2h8Xfhd4PMjke3S9h/LSK-sell.jpg

Hopefully, it did very well as LSK started to dive. I got my small profit.

It was not at bottom yet that I had to go pick-up my daughter at school, and then drive her to a special class. Unfortunately, during that time, I missed 2 nice ups!

So one more time a fragmented buy order in this one, which is a bit annoying.

My third trade today: BTC/STR

I was too late for this one, but as I thought it was going to go much higher, I bought. The first order at 25% was executed smoothly and as it was still climbing, in the excitement I put a second order at 10%.

Just after I placed the second order, it started to go in the red...

https://steemitimages.com/DQmYLkqjypF275AwN4hf3sUQB9w1xio7DLSEShjrfcTTKGu/STR.jpg

This time, I decided to break the rule and wait a bit more hoping it will go up again.

An hour later, it was definitely not going up again, so I sold.

This trade showed me exactly why it's better to take the loss immediately as I did for the first trade today.

My fourth trade today: BTC/ETH

I took my time with ETH! From the blue arrow you can see, I though it was going to go up after looking at some previous patterns. It went up, then down, then up and it's when I bought. The buy order was executed normally and as I was running this trade at the same time as the LSK one, and going outside, I placed a stop sell order, but a bit too high from what the price was at and I missed a bit more profit.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmcneGHwkESsJky57ybVCCWQwgMAZuFoiH6emMbGG2tBT4/ETH.jpg

It seems that each time I go outside and place a stop loss order, then it is triggered very soon after!

Today, I am down 0.00017580 BTC, which is about $1.25, but I have learned quite a few valuable lessons that will help me do better tomorrow.

This post is my trading journal for my second day.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to write more trading posts like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-08T14:03:45 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/four-crypto-trades-with-coinigy /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/four-crypto-trades-with-coinigy Shabu-shabu at home!
Last evening my wife and I had Shabu-shabu at home as we were too tired and a bit lazy to cook or go outside to a restaurant. If you don't know what Shabu-shabu is, it is a Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQ1eghzZczDi7NggqM9QvzyLjzr66zW4xSxjCngdtrFKq/shabu-title.jpg

Shabu-shabu at home!

So we called the restaurant and they delivered the meat and vegetables, plus the electric stove and pots needed to boil the food. At the time, I put 0.05 BTC in Bittrex and 0.05 BTC in Poloniex, which was about $300 in total.

I have different long-term investments in cryptos, but day trading is something I really wanted to try. I am no expert, just a beginner, and I welcome your comments.

Would you read about my experience learning day trading with me today?

https://steemitimages.com/DQmat7sGAnhUSYK4JSm3RfkJktdFzbAE2aTtLxER3kZj5Qj/trade-th.jpg

My First Successful Crypto Trade!

After doing a few trades two months ago, which were based more on luck and tips from others, the value of BTC I had on both accounts decreased. I had a few small successful trades purely on luck and failed in others simply because I didn't know what I was doing and didn't monitor the progress of the trades.

Thanks to Bitcoin increasing in value, my Bittrex account went back to $150, I then bought Steem and sent them back to my wallet on Steem. My Poloniex account showed yesterday a balance of 0.02096647 BTC, and a value of $159. Basically, I am back at the same value in $USD, but I lost quite a lot in BTC.

Learning cryptocurrency trading

The difference between then and now is that I took the time to seriously study about trading cryptocurrencies and learn some methodology in order to get a better chance at getting a profit.

So, seeing that I went nowhere with trading, I stopped and bought a cryptocurrency trading course with lifetime access by a professional and successful trader. There is a free webinar that you can access there, which can teach you quite a few valuable things about trading cryptocurrencies as well. I took the course, read two recommended books about trading, and I have just scratched the surface of all the other resources available.

Disclaimer: if you click the link above and purchase the course, I may get a small commission.

This being said, I today decided that it was time to do some practice and use my newly acquired knowledge.

First successful trade with Poloniex using Coinigy

One of the tools I tried for free a couple of months ago was Coinigy and I finally paid my subscription to continue using it. If you would like to try it please use my referral link https://www.coinigy.com/?r=842aeb1c because I will get $15 if you purchase later on.

After looking at several coins to trade, I finally decided to go for XVC, which had a bottom formation going on. I know nothing about this coin and the choice was based on what I saw in the chart.

This is the first Coinigy chart where I placed my first trade.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmdECG6ZATESNfcwzWwi2s9mGQEN7pxucwWxYES1qzG3JJ/59fff8bc55f36.png

I put 25% of my BTC on the first entry point, and then I wanted to add 10% entries a bit higher using stop buys, but I messed up in Coinigy and two more entries went immediately. If you are trading crypto, you might be laughing right now!

As it was going up, I put a stop loss above my entry points so that I won't have to worry losing the trade.

The fourth 10% order was done successfully at a higher entry point as I was monitoring progress, and then I moved my stop loss much higher, so I could take a profit anyway.

I went outside and about 15 minutes later received a notification on my phone about the sell.

This is the second chart showing when the sell occurred.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmeDxG4x9tADRrcP93qW8tkCZ7XVwio4FV1RvWtNo4EtCJ/5a000eefc6a2a.png

It was going down and the stop loss worked perfectly while I was away.

I started with 0.02096647 BTC in Poloniex and finished at 0.02116335 BTC with a profit of 0.00019688 BTC.

Now, fellow traders with more experience than I have, you may laugh out loud because this is a very small profit, $1.41 exactly and less than what this post on Steemit will get, but this trade was successful because that's the first time I felt in control. I didn't lose money, traded small amounts and got a profit, all I need to do even better on the second trade.

This post is kind of a trading journal for me and I hope you enjoyed reading it.

Would you upvote this post and follow me for more because this will encourage me to write more trading posts like this one?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-06T12:03:51 http://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/my-first-successful-crypto-trade /cryptocurrency/@gmichelbkk/my-first-successful-crypto-trade Three Interesting Questions about Facebook Ads and Google AdWords
A couple of days ago, I wrote a post about Quora "How did I get 47.8k answer views with 36 posts on Quora?" and as I just answered 3 questions I thought it would be good to share them with you here on Steemit.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmYNHymSGTP4ur6eavCV93GCrr97eJFN8zV9rH5gt8SEu3/THUMB-3qs.jpg

Three Interesting Questions about Facebook Ads and Google AdWords

Today I was in the mood to answer questions about advertising on Facebookand Google Adwords so I search for questions in Quora related to this topic. I joined about a year ago and have set to myself the goal to answer 3 questions per month in topics I have expertise in. I have now 36 answers published that brought a total of 47.8k answer views and that's a lot of exposure.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmcsQJhFjm3yyYSPzeWbTV1F1v9TgbVNobUpRPKcwZgUHx/tumb.jpg

How did I get 47.8k answer views with 36 posts on Quora?

Quora is an excellent website for experts in any field to gain some influence helping people with their questions. Answering questions in Quora can help any entrepreneur get more exposure for their business, and can translate indirectly into sales of products and services.

If you are an expert in Google AdWords, for example, you can choose to answer specific questions about Google ads people are having trouble with. Answering lots of them can show that you are an expert and help sell your services.

Someone you have answered a question on Quora may hire you, or someone checking you out may come across your profile and answers, which will confirm indeed that you are an expert and should be hired over to someone else.

This works of course for all kinds of profession, if you are doing landscaping, answering questions may bring you future projects.

First, this is my profile on Quora.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmepRL9gacpoxwXKNjiCVt2MD5ZNQGTPYsq9PsVLrtZPYw/quora-profile.png

As you can see I have accumulated 47.8k answer views in total and 4.3k this month and this with only 182 followers. This is great news because you do not need in fact a ton of followers to see good results.

Now, how do you get this kind of results?

This is in fact very simple because most of the people answering question are lazy, they write a very short answer with only a block of text, redirect to external links, or give the actual answer to the question in their blog post where they try to have you click to.

Now, I just told you what not to do.

An important thing is also to be consistent, if you answer 10 questions in your first month, then two questions the next six month, it is not likely to work.

I have chosen to answer 3 questions per month, which in 12 months is a total of 36 answers.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQk54vXk7XVkiWJZ6NWTvJAHNY1YchoZBUNVZy9kdSwaF/36posts.png

Just do what you can do consistently, if you have the time to answer 5 or 10 questions, then that's great and you will have even better results than I have.

Now, how you answer the question is very important. Be prepared to give the best answer you can and give links to other resources that can help further.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmVFzsnAxFr78CRwRK9mKgFzZtAYc3FbQV25fkB7jr2VA6/answer.png

As you can see there are six answers to that question and mine is first. Almost all of my answers are at the top and I achieve that by giving the best answer I can, but I also make it very readable using italic and bold when necessary. I also use images and link to relevant websites in all answers I write.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmQFqYEivmxNqqoftU1RWvMku5zc6oXbT2iGy1aFJ84jBS/answer2.png

Doing this will get your post towards the top, and if there is a video you can embed in the answer this is a guaranteed first position on the page.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmSSTymABQFVbYsVyAk9VYhjUMyAwUCjYCa134W6vgnFT9/answer3.png

The video does not have to be yours, it just have to be relevant and useful.
New users to Steemit may not know that there is a certain period of time where it is not to their advantage to upvote someone's post or comment, if they want the maximum curation rewards. I myself was not aware of this until I read the FAQs.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmTXQYuDhTjm1RohKLuXX1CL82zHGYc85JHgSrJPDaFscF/thumb.jpg

When is the Best Time to Upvote on Steemit?

When you publish a post on Steemit, you will notice that there are just a few people upvoting your post in the first minutes of it being published, and then after a certain period of time, suddenly there is an avalanche of upvotes, which then decreases again.

This is because of how the rewards on a posts are shared between the author and the curators. On the amount in $USD that you see for a post, when you click the little arrow down, you will see that 75% goes to the author and 25% goes to the curators, people who have upvoted the post.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmRfFNA5rYeiNZs9Q17T5nDx48CpjMDyPsKGyrxa2MQzNe/75-100.jpg

Now, this is very easy to remember, but it does not stop here as there is an element of time that is taken into account for the calculation.

Basically, if you upvote a post, or a comment, in the first 30 minutes, there will be a split of the curation rewards between the author and yourself, which means the author can also get curation rewards from the 25% split depending on when you upvote.

Interesting, isn't it?

If you upvote a post immediately after it is posted, from 1 second to 2 minutes and 59 seconds, 100% of the curation rewards will go to the author. So it is not a good idea to upvote a post in that time frame, unless you are the author, or you want to give your curation rewards to the author.

If you upvote a post after 3 minutes, 90% of the curation rewards go to the author and 10% to the upvoter. It is not clear in the FAQs if this goes like this until the next split, which is at 15 minutes or if the author percentage decreases proportionally as time passes.

If you upvote a post at 15 minutes, it is a 50/50% split between the author and the upvoter. It is again unclear if the percentage decreases proportionally until the next split.

Then, if you upvote a post at 27 minutes, the author gets 10% and the upvoter 90% of the curation rewards.

Finally, after 30 minutes, the upvoter gets 100% of the curation rewards.

You can refer to this section of the FAQs for all details.

https://steemitimages.com/DQmbbWcFgcDuxAdhfnWZh4HeqApkcX8MFTQ7pW6sBhuygLY/best-time.jpg

So as you can see, it is important to upvote a new post or a comment after 30 minutes until the end of the rewards period, I believe, to get 100% of your curation rewards.

I am not sure why it is set like this, but this is an important thing to know about Steemit. It is also important to remember to set your auto-voters to upvote after the 30 minutes period.

I hope this post has been helpful.

Have a nice day.

Would you upvote this post after 30 minutes as passed so you can get 100% of your curation rewards, and follow me for more?

Michel Gerard

www.michelgerardonline.com
2017-11-01T10:16:42 http://steemit.com/steemit/@gmichelbkk/when-is-the-best-time-to-upvote-on-steemit /steemit/@gmichelbkk/when-is-the-best-time-to-upvote-on-steemit
